How to Update the Card on an Existing Recurring Donation

If the debit or credit card associated with your recurring donation has changed, expired, or needs to be replaced, you can update your payment method directly from the DAB app.

You do not need to stop your existing recurring donation and create a new one. Instead, you can update the payment method associated with your current gift.

Follow these steps to update the payment method for an existing recurring donation:

1. Make sure you are logged into your DAB account
   Sign in using the account associated with your recurring donation.

2. Open Settings
   From the Home page, tap the Settings (gear) icon in the upper right-hand corner.

3. Tap Giving History
   From the Settings menu, select Giving History.

4. Locate your active recurring donation
   You will see a list of your donations. Find the active recurring donation for which you would like to update the card.

5. Open the donation details
   Tap the arrow on the right-hand side of the active donation.

6. Tap Edit Gift
   From the donation details screen, select Edit Gift.

7. Select Update Payment Method
   You will see several options for editing your gift. Locate Update Payment Method and select Yes.

8. Enter your new card information
   Follow the prompts to securely enter your updated debit or credit card information.

9. Complete the update
   Follow the remaining prompts to save the changes to your recurring gift.

No. If you only need to change the debit or credit card associated with your gift, you can update the payment method on your existing recurring donation.

There is no need to stop your current gift and create another one.

Make sure you are logged into the DAB account associated with the email address used for your recurring gift.

Also keep in mind that donations made through other methods, such as PayPal, are not currently managed through Giving History in the DAB app.

Once your payment method has been updated, your existing recurring donation will continue using the new card information.
